How it works

Add your people and tick the days each can work. Paste a whole list at once, or bring a team in from Planning Center.
Set up your shifts once, e.g. "Cafe, 8 to 12, two people".
Pick the dates on a calendar (every Sunday this month is one tap) and press Build.
Share it. Copy it into a group message, or send it straight into Planning Center.

Fair, and it shows its working

Spreads the load: whoever has worked least goes next, and turns are spaced out across the dates.
Honours every constraint: days people can't work, holidays and away dates, two people who shouldn't be rostered together, and a maximum per person.
Requests come first: "Sarah asked for the 12th" puts her at the front of the queue that day.
Tells you when it can't fill a shift, rather than quietly leaving a gap, and you can swap anyone by hand afterwards.
Same answer every time: no AI and no dice rolls decide who works. The optional AI only reads a pasted message ("Tom's away 5–9 June") into dates for you to approve.

Planning Center

For churches on Planning Center Services, RosterWarden connects with your own Planning Center login. No setup with us, and nothing for your church admin to register.

Bring in a team (e.g. Cafe or Hospitality): its people appear, with their blockout dates already filled in, including repeating ones.
Send a finished roster back into your plans, in the right positions. People are added as Unconfirmed and their notifications are prepared, not sent: nobody hears anything until you press Send in Planning Center.
Update any time to pick up new volunteers and fresh blockouts.

Good to know

Your data stays yours. Rosters live on your device. With sync on, they're encrypted on your device before they leave it, so our server stores them but can't read them. Your sync code is the only key, so keep it somewhere safe.
